Alloy Design

Since the various combinations of strength and ductility can be achieved in steel, they have found extensive applications across diverse environments. A wide range of mechanical properties can be obtained depending on the alloy compositions and heat treatment processes (temperature, time, and cooling conditions…). We design the alloy compositions and optimize the heat treatment schedule to achieve the desirable mechanical properties. We perform detailed microstructure analyses with these works to understand their new mechanical response. This comprehensive approach enables us to tailor steel production precisely for the intended applications.
